Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty
At Stienhardt & Stones, every piece begins with a promise that what you wear will be made to last.
We stand behind the craftsmanship of our jewelry and warrant that all Stienhardt & Stones pieces are free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship at the time of delivery and that the optical properties of our lab-grown diamonds will remain permanently colorless, clear, and brilliant β never fading or clouding over time under normal wear and care.
Our jewelry is handcrafted by master artisans using the highest quality materials, and each piece is inspected through multiple quality-control stages before it leaves our studio.
Every Stienhardt center stone is ethically grown and masterfully cut to our strict standards for clarity, brilliance, and precision. We certify that all lab-grown diamonds purchased from Stienhardt & Stones will retain their original color and clarity for life. Under normal use, your diamond will never cloud, fade, or change color.
This warranty covers the optical stability of the diamond itself β ensuring it remains permanently bright, colorless, and transparent for as long as you own it.
Whatβs Covered
This warranty protects you against manufacturing defects β rare issues that may occur during the making of your piece, such as:
-
Loose stones in a newly made ring.
-
Bent or crooked settings discovered at delivery.
-
Incorrect metal type.
If a covered issue is identified, weβll repair or replace the item at no cost to you.
Whatβs Not Covered
Like all fine jewelry, your piece will naturally show signs of wear over time. The following are not considered manufacturing defects and are not covered under this warranty:
-
Normal wear and tear, scratches, dents, abrasions, or deformation.
-
Discoloration of metal from exposure to chemicals, lotions, pools, or hot tubs.
-
Thinning or bending of prongs due to regular wear or impact.
-
Damage or loss caused by accidents, mishandling, or improper cleaning.
-
Work performed by any third-party jeweler not authorized by Stienhardt & Stones.
-
Any issue arising or becoming apparent after extended use.
While our manufacturing warranty covers craftsmanship and diamond optical stability, we recommend obtaining personal jewelry insurance to protect against loss, theft, or physical damage to your center stone.
How to Start a Repair
Take a breath β jewelry damage is stressful, but weβre here to help.
If you believe your piece was damaged due to a manufacturing defect, please email care@stienhardt.com with your order ID, clear photos or a short video of the issue, and a brief description of what happened.
Our quality team will review your request and let you know whether the issue is covered under warranty.
If approved, weβll provide a prepaid insured shipping label and handle the repair at no cost to you. If the issue isnβt covered, weβll send you a repair estimate before moving forward.
A Good Rule of Thumb
If your ring was damaged more than four months after delivery, it is usually a sign of normal wear and not a manufacturing defect. Rings go through more than most people realize. Simple things like lifting weights, clapping, or carrying groceries can put pressure on the inner band and slowly change its shape.
When that happens, the ring can go slightly out of round, which sometimes loosens the prongs that hold your stones. It is one of the most common reasons stones shift or fall out over time, and it is completely normal.
To help keep your ring looking its best, we recommend taking it off before workouts, cleaning, or any heavy hand activity. Think of it like caring for a favorite watch β something you wear proudly but protect when needed.
How We Evaluate Manufacturing Defects
To ensure consistency and fairness, all warranty evaluations are performed at the sole discretion of Stienhardt. A manufacturing defect is defined as an issue that occurred during the creation of the piece and can be confirmed using standard professional jeweler inspection methods. Our quality team follows industry norms, precision measurement tools, and recognized gemological inspection practices.
Characteristics, natural surface features, or minute tool marks that are only visible under magnification or specialized microscopic equipment are considered within normal tolerances of fine handcrafted jewelry and are not classified as manufacturing defects.
This ensures all pieces are evaluated according to consistent and widely accepted professional standards.
