Find My Ring Size
Find My Ring Size
There are two easy ways to find your size at home, each about five minutes — measure a ring that already fits, or print our ring sizer. You can also add a complimentary ring sizer to your order as you design your ring.
Measure a ring you already own
- Choose a ring that already fits the finger you’re sizing for.
- Measure the inside diameter, straight across, in millimeters.
- Match that diameter to the circle guide on our printable sizer.
Tip: measure a band close in width to the one you’re buying.
Use our printable sizer
- Download the sizer and print it at 100% scale (Actual Size) on letter paper.
- With a ruler, confirm the calibration bar reads exactly 50 mm (2 in).
- Cut it out, wrap it around your finger, thread the end through the slot, and read your size.

Sizing tips
What if I’m between two sizes?
Round up. A ring that sits slightly loose can be brought down easily, while one that’s too tight is harder to enlarge without affecting the setting.
When is the best time of day to measure?
Late afternoon or early evening, when your hands are at a normal temperature. Fingers swell in heat and shrink in the cold, so measuring first thing in the morning or straight after exercise can mislead you.
Do wide bands fit differently?
Yes. A band wider than about 6 mm sits more snugly than a thin band at the same size. If you’re choosing a wide band, consider going up a quarter to a half size.
Should I size for my knuckle or the base of my finger?
Whichever is larger. The ring has to pass over the knuckle but should rest comfortably at the base. If your knuckle is much larger, ask us about sizing beads — a small, discreet fix.
Can my ring be resized later?
Most solitaires and standard bands can be resized within a few sizes, and your first resizing with us is complimentary. Eternity bands, tension settings, and fully patterned bands often can’t be resized, so it’s worth getting those right the first time — just ask us if you’re unsure.
Still unsure?
Our team sizes rings every day. Call 917-909-6402 or contact us — and you can always add a complimentary ring sizer to your order at the ring-size step when you design your ring. Every Stienhardt ring also includes one complimentary resizing.
