Diamond Upgrade
Guidelines & Eligibility

All lab grown diamonds purchased from Stienhardt qualify for the Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program.

The new lab grown diamond must be at least three times the price of your original diamond.

Only certified lab grown diamonds with a grading report from IGI or GIA are eligible.

Natural diamonds are not included in this program.

Purchases facilitated through Stienhardt but fulfilled by a separate third party do not qualify.
Diamond Condition Requirements

Your diamond must be returned in its original, undamaged condition.

Any chips, cracks, or material damage will disqualify the diamond from eligibility.

The original laboratory grading report must be returned in reusable condition.
Fees may apply for damaged or missing reports. -
The credit value applies to the diamond only and does not include the value of settings, mountings, or side stones.
Settings and Mountings
Engagement rings:

If your existing setting can safely and structurally fit the upgraded diamond, we can reuse it.

If not, the original setting will be returned to you along with your new order.
Earrings and pendants:

Original settings cannot be reused and no credit is offered for them. They will be returned with your upgraded diamond.

Diamonds originally set by another jeweler must be returned loose, without the setting.
Upgrade Value and Restrictions

You will receive 100 percent of your original diamond price as credit toward the upgraded diamond.

You may upgrade one diamond to multiple diamonds, or multiple diamonds to one, as long as the combined new purchase meets the 3x price requirement.

Upgrade orders are not eligible for any discounts, promotional offers, coupons, or price match requests.

Diamonds purchased through the upgrade program cannot be returned for a refund or exchanged.

Your original diamond must be received and accepted by Stienhardt before your upgraded diamond ships.
Geographic Availability

The Lifetime Diamond Upgrade Program is available for customers within the United States.

International upgrades may be accommodated on a case by case basis.
